Food Night Out: Uncle D’s Restaurant, Abuja

Hey y’all! So for y’all who didn’t know I’m a big foodie. I love food and food loves me. πŸ’• So imagine how ecstatic I was when Ms. Vivian the manager of Uncle D’s Restaurant hit me up for dinner.  I was beyond myself, I picked up my Nikon D5300 and off I went πŸ’ƒπŸ½

Uncle D’s Restaurant is located at 85, Aguiyi Ironsi, Cappador Mall, Maitama, Abuja (before the Yoruba Mosque). Open Monday- Saturdays, 8am – 10pm.

First thing you’ll notice about Uncle D’s is the beautiful aesthetic. Bruh! I’m a sucker for minimalist decor. Plus, they have functional + free WiFi😏😏😏

Pushing past the door, you’ll be greeted with a clear view of the kitchen

Look up, you’ll see this…neat right?😏

Love the art works lined at the back of the spot. I also ran into a friend of mine, Temi (hey girl!) who popped by to get dinner.

Another interesting thing I noticed was that there were charging spots close to the tables…very thoughtful πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎ

So, Temi went for Chips with sauce and I chose Chinese Stir Fried Rice with beef sauce. Dinner took about 30 minutes to get to our table; you’ll literally see the chef prepping your meal.

Now y’all, I’m a very hard person to please when it comes to food but damn the chef did soooo good, only shame held me back from licking my plate πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Did I mention that Uncle D himself came to say hi to little ol’ me?☺️ I felt sooo special *bats eyelash*

To wrap it up:

Pros

β€’ Easily Accessible, ample parking space

β€’ Beautiful aesthetic, interior decor is πŸ’― , artwork speaks to my soul πŸ˜‚

β€’ Food is A-1, pricing is very good and affordable (if you’re in Abuja, you’ll feel my painπŸ˜‚)

Cons

β€’ I have a very sensitive ‘nose’ so the vapor from meal preps (the kitchen) caused me to have sneezing fits😭

VERDICT: 4.6/ 5

Now, back to my favorite artworks I saw at Uncle D’s Restaurant

Which is your fav?❀️

  1. This is really nice and helpful especially because I’m new in Abuja and I get really sceptical about eating out, but I’ll defintely check this place out. Thanks.
As for the art, I’m going with 2 πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ and I’m stealing that line as well.
