Bad Habit Retro Love Palette (ABH Subculture Palette Dupe) (Review & Tutorial)

Hey hotties! If you didn’t know, Bad Habit is an American beauty brand that specialises in making dupes for popular palettes from Anastasia Modern Renaissance to Huda Beauty’s Rose Gold palette, etc. I got my hands on one of Bad Habit’s palettes – Retro Love – which is meant to be a dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture palette. I got mine from Beeolabeauty (on Instagram) for N7,500.

This palette comprises of 14 shades; 3 shimmers and a whooping 11 matte eyeshadow shades.

So I filmed a look using this palette (click on the video up) and I put all my thoughts in it but let me summarize it for you:

• 11 rich and earthy matte shades, that can be used to achieve simple everyday look to full on glam and smokey eyes

• 3 metallic shades that appear iridescent and swatches beautifully

Now I try to always see the best in products but this one had a couple of 👎🏾 for me:

• the matte shades have an amazing amount of fall out. You’ve gotta be super careful when applying them. The remedy will be to use a slightly damp brush while applying. Don’t overdo it because you might be left with blotchy looking Eyeshadow 😂

VERDICT (6/10) Bad Habit should have done better with the formula, but for $10 (got mine for N7500), who am I kidding?! It’s a steal.

PS: the colors when swatched and applied on the eyes are slightly different but not too alarming.

Hope you enjoyed reading.

X0 sweetie 😘
